- Color/Description
- Yellowish brown with dramatic dark browns to almost black stripes. Grain patterning can be quite striking, particularly when flat-sawn. Not uncommon to see many “eyes” and other figuring in Bocote.
- Workability
- Easily worked and machined with good results. Although it has a fairly high amount of natural oils present, gluing is usually problem-free.
- Uses
- Fine furniture, cabinets, floors, veneers, boats, musical instruments, gunstocks, turned objects, etc.
